Does ANYBODY Review ANYTHING here?

OK....people make mistakes.  We get that.  But is there anyone else that sees that the Sun Prairie school district seems to make mistakes at a highly accelerated rate compared to others?

This e-mail message went out to families of Patrick Marsh students this past week.
You'd think that something with the good Dr. Culver's name on it....
... given the pretty hefty salary we pay to a Communications Manager...
... and after all the poor quality information (which clearly has not received adequate review) coming out of the district...
... that SOMEONE would have proofread this simple e-mail message!

Right?
Or was this a contest?  You know...parents, please fill in the blank of who you'd like to see as interim Assistant Principal?

This isn't a personnel matter you have interest in.
And what's REALLY noteworthy is that NO ONE is even talking about WHY Mr. Luessman is suddenly called upon to take over as interim Creekside principal.  This one has a rather fishy odor to it.  For this level of secrecy, it must involve a rather touchy subject.  Were any of the kids at any risk?  Teachers?

Communication? What's That?

Despite warnings from one district resident that their actions may not be in accordance with state law, members of the Sun Prairie School Board on Thursday, July 1 recommended that Board Clerk Jill Camber Davidson set a special electors meeting for Wednesday, July 28 to coincide with a rescheduled public hearing on the Sun Prairie Area School District’s 2010-11 budget.

Here we go again!

Once again, the date for the next Finance Committee Budget Hearing is not even communicated to the Finance Committee 's CITIZEN members. We had to read about it in the STAR.

Understood...they weren't asked for their input at the last budget hearing. Al the board wants is for them to rubber stamp approval of the budget.

Readers Write: How Would SPASD Fare in a Columbine-Like Scenario?

This from a concerned community member in response to a district-wide failure of phone and internet connections during the week of December 21.

"Interesting decision making yesterday...entire district had no phones or internet...some buildings get no cell phone reception...yet there was no thought into what would happen in the event of a major emergency.

What if some crazy lunatic enters a school with a gun?

Can't call out, can't use cell phones, can't e-mail.

That is why [Administration] get the big bucks huh!

Food for thought?
